Bodhi

It’s the bath, and shower therapy everyone is, or will be talking about. Only a year old, and being rolled out to all Harvey Nichols in the country, many other stockists, and already with a cult following – no one can deny Bodhi’s success. The brain child of Elijah Choo; Bodhi is an eco-luxury skincare brand that is taking England by storm.

Bodhi isn’t just a bath, or shower gel, it’s a sensual private bathroom experience. They are aromatic adventures. Currently there are seven different ‘adventures’ from the relaxing Jasmine Falls to purifying delights of Palmarosa Verde.

Until now I have not got around to trying Bodhi, I kept meaning to, just never got around to it. I became aware of it early on in Harvey Nichols Birmingham seeing it in the beauty/skincare department. Fortunately Elijah Choo sent me three different therapy samples to try; Rosemary Chi (reviving), Galangal Spice (vitalising), and Pep Noir (energising). I now fully realise what I was missing, and I will be definitely indulging in Bodhi’s range of ‘Bath & Shower therapy’ in the very near future (i.e. when I use up all my samples).

I love the packaging, it’s practical, it’s smart, it’s contemporary, and it’s stylish. It’s proof that simplicity sometimes is the best option. I love the strips of complimenting colours to differentiate between the different ones, I can only imagine the full sized bottles will look great in any bathroom (the small ones look great as it is).

Bodhi Bath & Shower therapy

My absolute favourite one out of the samples was Bodhi’s Pep Noir ‘energising bath & shower therapy’. The bergamot, and black pepper in it are so invigorating, and awakening – there is something about the smell of it that makes you alert, and ready to face the day. The white thyme you can smell it only adds to the over all smell. It smells potent in a stimulating manner. It was genuinely a pleasant shower experience, it isn’t too much, and they lather well over your skin.

The plant ‘actives’, and ingredients in Pep Noir all have various properties, from frankincense which relieves muscle aches, to white thyme which is a powerful antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory to lactic acid which is anti-ageing, and known for it’s skin rejuvenating properties.

All Bodhi’s products are made in England with natural ingredients, and pure essentials oils. Bodhi do not test their products on animals, and do not use harsh synthetics in their products. They make the perfect gift for yourself, or even for someone else – they are perfect for Christmas (yes it’s September, and I just said the ‘C’ word…).

Each individual therapy retails at £23.00 for 250ml, you can buy them from most Harvey Nichols (soon all), a few independent retailers, and of course on the official Bodhi website: http://www.bodhi.uk.com/ (standard delivery shipping is free – did you really need more of an incentive?!).

p.s. a little birdy told me in October they are expanding the range, and releasing moisturiser versions of the bath & shower therapies – well I’ll definitely be getting the Pep Noir one then…
