Well “Lorien” you aren’t spending money when you walk around the concessions taking pictures of things to Instagram and not actually buying them.
Whilst dress sense is subjective, posting pictures online to create an affluencal image is just sad and has little to do with fashion.

Lovely shoes! I love the rebrand, it’s luxe but rock. It’s not as luxe-luxe as the Pilati era. However it’s very small, as per Hedi Slimane’s modus operandi, and it makes it difficult to find pieces to wear. Given its cost this is going to make it hard to sell as very few of the skinny boys who can wear it will have the money to buy it.

Brilliant site. We share a very similar style aesthetic and I’m pleased to have come across your site. I too consider myself a preppy style maven, but preppy with an edge. Nothing is more pleasing to me than pairing a pair of my Made and Crafted Levis with a white V-neck T-shirt, and old Ralph Lauren navy blazer with gold buttons and a pair of Gucci driving loafers or velvet slippers to make my day go zing! You are right – what we see in magazines (and now online) portrays a story, a fantasy and one which we all may or may not aspire to but for certain, the images we process are ones that inspire us – whether this is succumb to the designers within each story or whether it is to purchase a similar look from the high street. The motion behind this enables us to fall in love with Fashion, the industry to enjoy and love what they do but ultimately, encourage us that we need lavish designer pieces in our wardrobe. Based on all this, I’m sold.

My favourite aspect of Fashion? It’s not who dictates what we wear but how we choose and relate to designers/garments/items.

I’ve never understood people who don’t love to look at beautiful things, to wear beautiful things. I can understand not being obsessed with it the way we are, but not the lack of appreciation or outright hatred some people seem to show towards it. Sometimes I think it’s because of their own imagined inadequacies – they feel like fashion isn’t for people like them. But that’s why I love it – yes it’s a fantasy, but it’s a fantasy you can actually be part of.

Anyway, keep loving beautiful things. And BUY MORE SHOES!

Love this bracelet, I’d like one myself! In answer to your Liz Earle question, I have used Liz Earle since it was launched when a wash off cleanser was quite innovative, especially with a muslin cloth. I really like it but do love Eve Lom for its greasy richness which LE doesn’t have but it’s a great price and has been voted best cleanser in so many magazine awards over the years, they can’t all be wrong! xx

As the daughter of a jewellery designer and watch expert, let me tell you something – a J12 is wasted money, the mechanism inside is cheap and poorly made. Very much a case of paying for the name, I’d put the money towards a vintage Rolex, Cartier or Bulgary instead.
